Just a few days after the launch of the Horizon Forbidden West expansion last week, which received an attack from players due to the content outside, Guerrilla Games teased all players with new adventures with the character Aloy.
This news comes from a Statement issued by the studio To announce the departure of Studio Director and Executive Producer Angie Smits to serve as Head of Development Strategy at PlayStation Studios. It’s a move similar to the one made by the team’s former managing director Hermen Hulst in 2019, moving from that director position to that of Sony Studios president.
We have full confidence in the new management as they steer Guerrilla Studio toward a bright future, expanding the Horizon universe with Aloy’s next adventure and our exciting team-up project.
Guerrilla Games is not trying to hide its plans, the studio has plans for another adventure with Aloy. While rumors and speculation indicate that the project will be a multiplayer game within the Horizon universe, this statement made sure to separate Aloy’s next adventure from the alleged multiplayer game for a while.
We do not know if the hints here refer to the Horizon MMO game, in which some of the rumors that I talked about earlier appeared.
After an incredible journey at Guerrilla, our Studio Director Angie Smets is starting a new role as Head of Development Strategy at @PlayStation! We’re so grateful for Angie’s leadership and wish her the best in her new adventure ????

While the statement may not explicitly say that the next adventure is something that complements the game Horizon Forbidden West However, it is very clear that PlayStation will continue the adventure. Especially since it is one of the best-selling and popular games on the PlayStation platform.
As for the new roles for Guerrilla Games, the management team now consists of Production Director Joel Eschler, Studio Director and General Manager Hella Schmidt, and Artistic Director Jean Bart.
We hope that the studio will abandon the deviant tendencies that it began to promote through the content of Burning Shores and return to its senses in its upcoming projects, otherwise, the Arab and Islamic community and every moderate in the world will have their say in that time.
