After the new content “Mercenaries” was released this morning, I started Capcom Corporation By adding microtransactions or purchases, Resident Evil 4 entered its new game, although there was no indication from the developer that microtransactions would be added to the game.
The free downloadable content (DLC) Mercenary mode, which was added to the game today, came with many paid options and offers called “exclusive upgrade tickets”, each of which allows players to greatly speed up the process of upgrading weapons, as it was stated in the description of these tickets:
“For gun enthusiasts, knife collectors, and gun lovers of all kinds, here is your ticket to the gun show!”
“With this, you will have access to an exclusive weapon upgrade at any time, regardless of weapon level. Not only that, but once unlocked, the upgrade itself is free!”
Each upgrade ticket costs $2.99, which is equivalent to 12 Saudi riyals. There are also a number of special packages that allow players to purchase three or five tickets at a discount, but if a player buys everything available, they will have to purchase 23 upgrade tickets for a total cost of $55.89. Almost the price of a full game.
In any case, everyone has become fully aware of the reason for postponing the release of the mercenary phase, which was part of the main game, and this matter will certainly anger many players for many reasons. Capcom knew very well that if they had released Mercenaries mode with the game initially with in-app purchases, their game would have been bombarded by player reviews.
This matter, from the point of view of many players on social media, is very deceptive to them, especially since the new Capcom game has achieved great sales, in addition to the profitable revenues of the company, so what is the basis for adding these purchases?
Time to cause some mayhem!
